The Ardmore City Council met in a regular session in the council chambers and was also held by teleconference.

Alderman Jason Sherman advised the council the library board suggested an opening date of May 11th for full time employees and curbside service only for a week.

Alderman Smith made a motion to open city hall to the public starting Monday and the vote was unanimous.

A motion was passed to approve the first reading of the 2019-2020 Budget Amendment Ordinance amending the budget passed June 2019.

The city will receive $57,000.00 given by the Governor's Local Government Support Grant and the money is to be allocated for infrastructure or street repairs.

A motion was approved for the park committee  to open all park activities when Governor Lee lifts the restrictions on organized sports activities without requiring a called meeting.  The walking track is open, but the sports fields and playground are currently closed.

Park director Tim Turner presented an estimate to replace 152 feet of fence between field one and four including a 10-foot gate.
