Tennessee set a record low for statewide unemployment in May when its seasonally adjusted rate dropped to 3% for the first time.

The latest county unemployment data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development showed continued low county unemployment across the state.

All 95 counties had unemployment rates at or below 4.4% in May and only five counties had a jobless number at or above 4%.

Locally, here’s the latest unemployment rates…Giles County 2.7%, Lawrence County 2.9%, Lewis County 2.9%, Lincoln County 2.6%, Marshall County 2.9%, Maury County 2.4%, Moore County 2.2%, and Wayne County 3.0%
