On Wednesday, Governor Bill Lee signed Executive Order 31 which included opening hair and nail salons, dental services, barber shops and other personal care businesses on May 6th.
The order applies to salons in Giles County and also 88 of the states 95 counties.
During today's (Thursday) WKSR Bonus Hour,  State Representative Clay Doggett said reopening of close contact businesses was anticipated when the governor issued Executive Order Number 30 on Tuesday.
Executive Order 30 was necessary to allow for Wednesday's opening of retail businesses.
Doggett said the governor encourages churches to continue to find alternative ways to worship like drive-in services and online services, adding that the state will continue to provide them with additional guidance to help understand what the weeks ahead will look like.
