Giles County school system has been invited to take part in a book delivery program this summer.
Each first, second, and third-grade student in the district will receive books this summer at no cost.
The books will be delivered to the students home in June.  The books are a gift from Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation for children to enjoy during the month.
In addition, the student will receive access to ReadyRosie, which is a digital caregiver engagement tool.
To enroll a child, parents need to securely share the directory information with Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation, who is working to ensure all children receive books and all caregivers receive their ReadyRosie invitation.
If a parent chooses not to participate in the program, call the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation at (877) 992-6657. Leave a message that you are choosing not to participate along with the child’s name, school name, and county of residence.
