Giles County Executive Melissa Greene and Director of Emergency Management Jeremy Holley were guest on WKSR Bonus Hour today (Tuesday) for a question and answer session on Covid-19.
Holley confirmed as of Monday there were six positive COVID 19 cases in Giles County.
One of the questions was names of the positive cases and where in the county do they reside. Holley said due to privacy act the State of Tennessee does not release that information only the number.
Holley explained to listeners that the Giles County Health Department provides free Covid-19 testing.  "The procedure is for a person to call the local health department with personal information and a nurse will walk to the car and provide the test," Holley said.
Results from the test range from 24 to 48 hours and the person is contacted by the Health Department with a positive or negative.
The Giles County Health department is opened daily from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Holley also announced the State Health Department will provide free COVID-19 testing at the Giles County Agriculture Park on May 3rd from noon until 3 p.m.
