Red ribbons around Giles County are being displayed in an effort to draw attention to the COVID-19 pandemic in a positive way.
Started by social media, residents have begun displaying the red ribbons of hope in Tennessee.
The State of Alabama uses blue ribbons to display their appreciation for those who are working on the front lines of the battle against the disease.
Tammy Alsup said the campaign was started about seven weeks ago to help people to show that they are praying for an end to all this, that God is in control and that we should remain faithful.
“We are thankful for those who are participating in the campaign and hoping and praying along with everyone else for a solution to the problem,” Alsup said.
