The Tennessee Department announces this week a new partnership with the state’s PBS stations to deliver daily instructional content for Tennessee students.
The six PBS stations across the state, including WNPT Nashville locally, will broadcast two hours of content daily.
Math and ELA content for seventh and eighth graders will begin next week. There are printable teacher lesson plans and student worksheets to coordinate with the broadcasts.
State Representative Clay Doggett said during Bonus Hour today (Friday) that PBS will provide 30 hours of instruction.
PBS will stream an additional four hours of content overnight from 1 until 5 a.m., which viewers can watch live or record.
Doggett also said a survey on the Tennessee Department of Education website concerning summer school was only a formality for the state to receive federal funding.
