Lawrence County Executive TR Williams announced Wednesday that he will officially declare a State of Emergency for Lawrence County.
Declaring the emergency, it authorizes the city mayor and the county executive to make executive orders and make decisions regarding various procedures and formalities otherwise required under local and state laws as it pertains to taking necessary action to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the community.
William advised the status of Lawrence County is the same, and the recyling program is suspended and slid waste is only accepting household garbage.
