Betty Jean Byrd of Pulaski passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee.  She was born in Pulaski on August 13, 1937 and was 82 years old.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Betty was office manager of Byrd Construction for many years and was secretary for Tarpley Shop Utility District for 36 years, and earlier was manager of the American Legion for 13 years.  She enjoyed taking a drive with her husband and enjoyed visiting historical buildings and she loved flowers

 Visitation will be Monday, July 6th from 12:00 until 2:00 at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory

Funeral service will follow visitation on Monday, July 6th at 2:00pm with Bro. Mark Johnson officiating.

Burial takes place in Maplewood Cemetery.

Betty was preceded in death by her by her parents, George Richard and Jeffie Davis Adams, sister, Glenda Adams Wise, brothers, Richard Adams, Jr., Andy Adams, Dennis Adams and Freddie Adams.

She is survived by

Husband of 57 years, Cleveland Byrd of Pulaski

Son, Jamie (Pat) Byrd of Pulaski

Son, Freddie (Gina) Byrd of Pulaski

Grandchildren, Chris, Mitch, Kelby (Rachel) Byrd and Megan (Kade) Smith

Great-grandchildren, Kyler and Wrenley

Several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.
