Betty Jean McFarland Jordan, age 87, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

She was born in Elkton, TN, on January 13, 1933, in the old house beside the cemetery and lived in Elkton in the house across from the Methodist Church until marriage.  Her father owned McFarland Store that was located on Main Street in Elkton. She graduated Valedictorian from Elkton High School Class of 1951 and graduated Martin College in 1953 with an Associate's Degree in business. Betty has been a member of Elkton Baptist Church since 1945 where she served as the piano player for many years when she was younger.  She was preceded in death by her husband Houston Jordan, her parents Henry Robert McFarland and Addye Odell Gowan McFarland, her four sisters, Ruby Lanier, Bessie Whitt, Lucille Jones and Mamie Sue Richards and her four brothers, Robert (Bud) McFarland, John W. McFarland, George McFarland and Harold McFarland.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 27, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Elkton Baptist Church, Elkton, TN, with burial to follow in Elkton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Elkton Baptist Church Building Fund.

She is survived by her son, Gary Houston Jordan (Christie) of Pulaski, her daughters, Diane Jordan Owens (Tom) of Pulaski, Lisa Jordan Sanderson of Ardmore, AL, and Tammy Jordan Gaudette (Paul) of Pulaski, TN, her grandchildren, Jessica Nave, Jordan Paul, Eve Puckett, Zach Jordan, Lacey Blakely, Skyler Sanderson, Lauren Gaudette, Heath Gaudette, Brooklyn Gaudette, Briley Gaudette, Kylie Bailey and Gabe Bailey, and her great grandchildren, Sadie Nave, Austin Nave, Addie Grace Nave, Max Paul, Charlotte Harper Paul, Elijah Jordan, Olivia Puckett, Fisher Blakely, Emersyn Blakely and Kade Kimbrough.
