James “Jimmy” Smith, age 75, passed away at his home on Friday, May 1, 2020.

He was born on November 23, 1944 to the late Finnis and Bernice Rich Smith. He retired from Smith Body Shop, loved spending time with his family, and loved fishing. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gwin, Tony, and Finnis “Boybaby” Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie Raymond Smith of Oak Grove Comm., TN, his daughters, Lisa McElhiney and Ray of Campsville, TN, and Brenda “Flipper” Young and Ken of Fall River, TN, 7 of his grandchildren, 12 of his great grandchildren, his sisters, Mary Bass, Phyllis Ward, and Sandi Fralix, his brother, Roger Smith, his sister-in-laws, Sharon Smith, and Lorrie Smith, and several of his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Oak Grove Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the burial to follow in Old Shores Cemetery.

The public is encouraged to observe the social distancing guidelines.
