The city-county airport agreement was recently discussed by the Giles County Commission’s Public Service Committee.

Presently, the city of Pulaski administers funding to the airport, and the city and Giles County split payment of expenses.

The county amounts to approximately $50,000 annually.

Public Service Committee members voted in January to ask the Airport Advisory Committee to uncover more about the agreement and how the county commission can obtained information on the airport operation.

Portion of the issue was that airport manager Randy Jones receives all revenues from the sale of fuel and hangar rental.

Jones also receives a salary as airport manager and maintains the airport.

The discussion revealed that the amount of revenue generated from the sale of fuel and hangar rental was not known, and the agreement does not require the amount to be revealed.
