Three people have been identified after a vehicle collided with an Amish buggy over the weekend.

Reports indicate the occupants of the buggy were Henry, Caroline and Amanda Gingrich, who were airlifted to Vanderbilt.

A spokesman at the hospital said Mr. Gingrich was suffering from head injuries and Ms. Gingrich has a broken back and neck.

Baby Amanda has been released from Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. 

The suspected driver of the vehicle was not injured and was arrested on charges that stem from the accident. The name of the driver has not yet been released.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene just before 11 pm on Highway 43 near Three Oaks Market.

The accident is under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
