Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will be hosting a free seminar February 11th on diabetes and heart disease at 2 p.m. in the Maury Regional Annex located at 1223 Trotwood Avenue in Columbia.
Dr. Joel Phares, a board-certified cardiologist on the medical staff at Maury Regional Medical Center affiliated with Vanderbilt Heart-Columbia, will discuss the correlation between diabetes and heart disease and how to monitor and reduce your risk.
Heart disease is among the leading causes of death for adults with type 2 diabetes.
