The UT Extension Offices in Giles, Marshall, Maury, and Lawrence counties are partnering together to offer a Beginning Beef Management Series.

Four meetings are scheduled: February 6th in Pulaski, February 13th in Lewisburg, February 20th in Lawrenceburg and February 27th in Columbia.

If producers want to go to individual meetings, the cost is free to attend.

If participants attend all four meetings, they can pay $100 with a current Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification and become Master Beef Producer certified. The cost is $200 without BQA certification.

Each meeting will start with a light meal at 5:30 pm with the program to start at 6:00 pm. Meetings will last approximately two hours.

For those needing BQA certification, they can receive that certification on February 6th before the first meeting starts at 4:30 pm in Pulaski. The cost for that certification is $20 for Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association members and $40 for non-members and the certification is good for three years.

To attend this meeting, registration can be completed by visiting the UT Extension Maury County Office at 10 Public Square, Hunter Matthews Building on second floor or call 931-375-5301 to request a form.
