The Giles County Adult Oriented Establishment Board has given approval to Deja Vu Showgirls to contact the Midnight Express.

According to Nashville attorney Bob Lynch Jr., who represents Deja Vu, they want to be a good citizen in Giles County,.

The business has a Cornersville address, but is located in Giles County, near Exit 22 of Interstate 65.

The Giles County board voted earlier this year to suspend Midnight Express license for six months after an investigation by the Sheriff's Department

A complaint for a declaratory judgment against Felix Villa, licensed owner of the club, from Compton, Ill., was filed in Giles County Chancery Court on June 5.

Giles County Attorney Chris Williams said until that determination in court, the suspension of the defendant’s license is stayed.

Villa, through his attorneys Colbrook Baddour and Evan P. Baddour, has claimed that the county’s actions were unlawful and failed to follow minimum standards of due process.

There was testimony on May 31st hearing that a long time was taken to grant permits to some employees from the Giles County Clerk’s office, and Colbrook Baddour has asked for probation instead of the suspension.
