At the conclusion of each school year, Columbia Academy faculty select Mr. and Miss Columbia Academy, who are two students that best exemplify character and attributes consistent with the schools mission.

This year, Mr. CA is Hutton Smith, son of Brett and Deana Smith. He has been a student at CA for four years. He was a national merit scholarship corporation commended student and has been a part of the Best Buddies program.

Smith will attend Mississippi State University this fall where he will major in mechanical engineering and mathematics.

Miss CA is Molly Murphy, daughter of Joel and Mary Murphy. She has attended CA for 13 years. She has been involved with the science club, National Honor Society and Best Buddies program.

Murphy will attend Freed Hardeman University in the fall and is currently undecided on her major.

Several students from Giles County attend the academy in Columbia.
