The Columbia Police Department confirmed Wednesday that a local teenage girl previously reported missing has been located safe and sound. But another teen is still missing.


Aleane Mae Paynes, 14, was reported missing by Columbia police Tuesday. The department said she was last seen by her father in the area of Mt. Cove Road around the time of 8pm Tuesday, wearing blue jeans, white shirt and red slip on shoes and bright red highlights in her hair.


By 1pm Wednesday afternoon, the police department said she had been found.


But, Search continues for Serenity Burk, 17, who was last seen Tuesday, November 15th leaving school in Columbia.


When she was last seen, Burk was wearing dark colored pants with a black jacket and white shoes. She is 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds, police said.
