WKSR received a call from a lady Wednesday morning and wanted to let everyone know that scammers continue to try to separate you from your money.

She reported she received a phone call from a person who said her grandson was involved in a bad accident and needed money for help. She immediately hung up the phone and called her grandson to check on him and he was fine.

Just a reminder to never give out any personal information such as bank account, social security numbers, anything that would allow someone to access your money.

There are lots of phone and internet scams that also involve emails. Never open an attachment on your computer that you’re not sure about, it could gain access to your personal financial information.

Don’t fall for any phone or internet scam. In most cases if these scammers do get money from you, they are overseas, and you will not get your money back.
