The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting sobriety roadside safety checkpoints on Friday on Highway 31 at the 3 mile marker in Giles County.

Troopers will evaluate drivers for signs of signs of alcohol or drug impairment and take corrective action for other violations observed.

The THP will also be conducting safety belt roadside checkpoints on Friday on Highway 31 at the 14 mile marker. Troopers will target those who operate a vehicle while unbelted and take corrective action for other violations observed.

The THP recognizes these checkpoints are effective means of enforcing the drivers laws in Tennessee.
