A 62-year-old Marshall County man died in an auto accident at Interstate-65 mile-marker 10 in Giles County, according to a report released by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Reports show the man was driving a 2009 Nissan and was rear-ended by a 2010 Chevrolet truck.
The two northbound vehicles veered off the road into a tree line.
The second driver, who was also a Marshall County resident, was not injured.
Also at the 6:30 p.m. accident were Giles County Fire and Rescue, Giles EMS, Elkton Volunteer Fire Department, Elkton Police, and Giles County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident remains under investigation by the THP.
