Dr. Barton Barrett will be leaving his dental practice in Ardmore today.
Dr. Barrett graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2008 and opened his Ardmore practice on December 15th, 2010.
Barrett will be attending the University of Alabama Birmingham for two years to further his education in becoming an endodontist specializing in root canals.
"I look at this as an opportunity to serve the community better by going through further training. I plan to live here and be part of the Ardmore community," Dr. Barrett said.
Dr. Matthew Vaughan will be taking over the practice.
He has been working with Dr. Barrett for the past couple of weeks.
The office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and closed from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. for lunch. Tuesday hours are from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. and no lunch. The office is closed on Fridays.
