The Red Cross will be testing blood, platelet, and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies for a limited time.
The organization is using an FDA-approved antibody test that could show if the donor has been exposed to the novel coronavirus.
A positive antibody test does not confirm a COVID-19 infection or immunity.
Test results will be available within seven to 10 days in the Red Cross Blood Donor App or through the donor portal at RedCrossBlood.org.
Those who donate during June will also receive a $5 Amazon gift card.
