The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved applying for two grants at its regular meeting to make needed upgrades and capital improvements to its water and sewer infrastructure.
City Administrator Terry Harrison said the first grant application is for an EDA that could be used for capital improvement projects for the water and sewer department.
The second grant is the Governor’s Local Government Support Grant.
Harrison told the board that the grant for Pulaski is approximately $198,000 and that more water and sewer projects are coming for the city in the next few years that would fall within the guidelines set for the grant.
Alderman Hardin Franklin asked that uses of the grants be discussed by the board during an upcoming work session.
The board also approved parade permits for the Trent Holt 5K on August 1st and Cruzin’ for Cody on September 26th.
The board will meet in a work session on June 15th at 4:30 p.m.
