A fugitive of justice was taken into custody in Lawrence County.
According to reports, officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to the South Locust Avenue in regards to a subject wanted out of Maury County.
Contact was made with the individual, identified as James Ira Chambers walking down McDowell Street.
As officers attempted to detain Chambers he took off running and was quickly spotted on the railroads a short time later.
Chamber now faces an additional charges of evading arrest.
