In a social media statement the owners of Blue Bird Café and the Stockyard Café have announced the decision to permanently close both locations. Government constraints and COVID-19 affected the restaurants negatively.

In their post, owners, Chef Gene Smiley and Steve Osborne along with the team Tena Miller, Betty Mattox,  Kirsten West,  George Miller,  Lacy Miller and Brittany Helton expressed their thanks to the community and their customers for their relationships, patronage, and support.
