A firefighter was injured while investigating a suspected arson in Lawrence County.
Lawrence County Fire & Rescue said the firefighter sustained a broken foot while crews were trying to extinguish the blaze in the 10 block of Grinnell Drive.
The Gandy Fire Department were the first crews to arrive and found a mobile home fully engulfed in fire around noon. Crews initiated a defense attack against the blaze due to the poor water supply.
During these efforts, one firefighter was injured and transported to the hospital.
While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, crews report initial evidence points to an incendiary fire.
