Most Giles County salons and barbershops reopened  May 6th and now are adjusting to additional costs and safety protocols.
Since opening salons, owners have seen a little increase in overhead by having to purchase disinfecting products, thermal imaging thermometer and masks to mitigate risks of COVID19.
Most salon owners say customers are not permitted in the shop if they have a fever or not willing to wear a mask.
Now, owners are trying to look forward and make up for lost time in the safest way possible.
