The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved    the upcoming budget for fiscal year without a tax increase on second reading following a public hearing at its May meeting.
The budget projects $9.7 million in revenues versus $10.1 million in estimated expenditures. The balance is proposed to come from the city’s fund balance, which would be reduced to $6.9 million.
City Recorder Terry Harrison said the budget include $624,721 in appropriations to non-profit and governmental agencies, $700,000 in street paving and the North First Street and West College Street sidewalk beautification projects.
The board approved a parade permit for The Outlook Memorial Day Sale on the Pulaski Square.
In other business, the board adopted a resolution allowing Pulaski Electric System to refinance some long-term debt.
Also the board approved applying for an annual allotment of $34,000 from the state to sweep state streets inside the city limits.
