In these times of uncertainty and hardship, Giles County  and Ardmore residents can get the help they need without having to travel to another town.
The first four Tuesdays of every month the 'Christians Helping Others' organization hands out food boxes to families within a 12-mile radius of Ardmore. They are available from 9 a.m. until noon and is located at 26469 First Street in Ardmore. Currently they are using curb side pickup to limit the number of people inside the building.
Giles County residents also can receive food boxes from the Community Rural Food Delivery, a group of local churches from all denominations working together to help Giles County residents in their time of need.
On the third Thursday of each month volunteers pick up bulk food and pack it into boxes at the former Sharp Motor Company showroom building in Pulaski.  On the third Saturday of each month volunteers take the boxes to designated locations and distribute them.
Most of the boxes given will feed a family of four for one week. They normally rotate between schools in Giles County as distribution points, but due to the Covid-19 virus, they are using the Giles County Ag Park on Highway 31 South beside Giles County Co-Op as the distribution center.
The next RFD Distribution is on May 16th.
