A Lawrenceburg man has been arrested in Lewis County after reportedly slashing a 10-year-old boy's throat while the child was playing a video game on Sunday night.
Lewis County Court documents show that Sammy Sadler Jr., age 29, has been charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated child abuse, three counts of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
A police report accuses Sadler of attacking the boy while the child was playing a video game at a residence on Howards Switch Road in Lewis County.
Lewis County officers attempted to arrest Sadler at the scene, who reportedly pulled a knife on an officer, according to court documents. A taser was used to subdue Sadler before he was taken into custody.
The child was transported to Maury Regional and later Vanderbilt Medical Center for emergency treatment.
