Elk River Health and Nursing Center of Ardmore held a groundbreaking ceremony last week for a new 74-bed skilled nursing facility.
 The new 32,000 square feet facility will be equipped with a large rehab gym for inpatient and outpatient services. The new center will offer private rooms, as well as multiple dining and activity areas for residents and families.
The Ocoee Foundation, owner of the facility, will make an investment of $7.25 million in construction cost and will ultimately employ over 75 team members.
Construction is planned to be completed in Spring of 2021.
