Giles County increased to five patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 according to information released Wednesday by the Giles County Office of Emergency Management.
The number reported for Giles County on the Tennessee Department of Health website for today is four, but Giles OEM and Giles County Executive Melissa Greene announced that the total number of confirmed cases for Giles County is now at five with negative tests remained at 149.
Test results in counties contiguous to Giles are: Lawrence  with 15 positive, 316 negative, nine recovered; Lincoln has nine positive, 101 negative, three recovered; Marshall reported nine positive, 198 negative, four recovered, and one fatality; Maury County has  33 positive, 632 negative, and 22 recovered.
As of Wednesday, Tennessee has reported 6,079 positive tests, 74,817 negative tests, 135 fatalities and 2,196 recovered.
