The Giles County Election Commission recommended a $315,041 budget that includes money to conduct the August 6th and November 3rd elections.
The election administrator's salary of $72,602 was included In the budget, which is set by the state.
The county is reimbursed $18,000 by the State of Tennessee.
Another $47,500 was budgeted for the election commission and election workers.
Approximately $25,000 was allocated for voting machines and $11,500 for voting machine and copier maintenance.
The election commission budget will be included in the 2020-21 county budget.
The commission conducted the March meeting by email and not in person, due to coronavirus concerns.
