March ends as the seventh-wettest on record in Giles County with a whopping 9.6″ of rainfall this month.
Since January, several rain gauges in the county show at least a trace of rain on 61 of 91 days, which has rained for about two-thirds of the past three months!
Total rainfall adds up to 32.3 inches from January 1st to the end of March.
Springtime rain is vital to water resources later in the year. A wet April would stave off drought for a while and reports are showing no drought conditions are expected through the next three months.
