The Pulaski Mayor and Alderman approved a parade permit Tuesday for the SunDrop Festival coming to the Historic Downtown Pulaski on June 13th.

City Administrator told the board that the festival replaces the summer SOULstice Festival.

In other business, Harrison opened five request qualifications for Professional Airport Services. “Each qualification requires a committee to review,” said Harrison.

The board agreed the committee would include Harrison, Drew McMaster and Randy Jones.

A motion was filed and approved to strike a resolution authorizing Pulaski Electric System to refinance an existing debt.

Mayor Pat Ford said they would ask PES to come back at a later date.

In a lengthy discussion the board agreed to place a speed bump across the road in a curve on William Whitworth Road off Highway 31A. A total of 95 names were on a petition to place a speed bump half way on the road, but the board voted to place it across both lanes of the road.

The board also approved during the noon meeting a water purchase contract for Minor Hill Utility District.

In old business, Sandra Hayes of Pulaski said she was recently given one page of the city ordinance on fowls in the city limit and requested the other pages.

Hayes had been given a citation by the Pulaski Police Department for not removing chickens from the yard on North Ingram Street and is scheduled to go to court on March 17th.

She emphasized one of the 3 chickens is a therapy animal for a family member.

Hayes also complained about dogs in the area that had bitten one of her neighbors.
