Flooding and Sewer backup issues on Morgan Street were heard during the regular session of the Pulaski Board of Mayor and Alderman.

Carol Burden told the board she had contacted the governor and state representatives concerning this problem and was asking for help because this issue is very unhealthy.

During heavy rains, ditches in the Richland Subdivision flood and the water backs up to homes in the area. Burden said she is very concerned especially with the sewer backup and will go higher if something is not done about the problem.

City Recorder Terry Harrison reported the department was looking into the sewer issue, but two workers were recently pulled from that job to work on a fire hydrant.

The board adopted resolutions to enter a one year agreement with Roaring River Consulting to use their services at the Water Treatment Plant, Adjusting Change Order on SBW Constructors contract for extension work near SaarGummi, to Change Order on MG Underground contract for Green Acres Subdivision, two contracts with J.R. Wauford relative to engineering services and additional bids on the fencing at Maplewood Cemetery.

During the noon meeting, a parade permit was approved for NAACP on January 20th.

The board also authorized the Mayor and City Recorder to apply for a USDA Rural Development Community Facilities Grant for the airport.

On second reading, the board accepted to amend the Sewer Use Ordinance and also authorized advertisements for bids on pad for Lot 5.
