Minor Hill School teacher has been named South Central Regional PreK through 4th grade Teacher of the Year

Shannon Bass was recognized recently and will move on to the state level Teacher of the Year competition where she will compete against 7 other educators from across Tennessee.

Bass has taught 14 years at Minor Hill School, where she has served as a teacher leader as well as the Read To Be Ready summer reading camp director at MHS in 2018 and will also serve in this role for the 2019 program.

A graduate of Giles County High School, she received her Bachelor's in Education from Martin Methodist College, and completed a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University.
