Melton Knox Allaway died Monday at Riverside Senior Center in Decatur. He was 78 years old.

He was retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, and worked for NHC Healthcare and First United Methodist Church in Pulaski.

Visitation will be Friday from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Services will follow visitation at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens with full military honors.

He is Survived by his, Son, Troy Glen and wife Vicki Allaway of Decatur, Son, Travis Neal and wife Twana Allaway of Mt. Juliet, Brother, Joel Maurice and wife Melissa Allaway of Athens, 1 Granddaughter, Several Nephews, Nieces also survive.
