Garland “Pops” Powell died Saturday and was 86 years old.

He was a carpenter and member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A memorial service will be held in California at a later date.

He is survived by daughters: Paula Eubank and husband Mark of Pulaski, Marie Gonzales and husband Angel, Nora Cabral and husband Tony, all of California and Judy Donajkowski of Missouri; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
