A motorcyclist is reportedly facing multiple charges following a Friday crash at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch during the big motorcycle event.

According to a crash report provided by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened inside the ranch Friday, May 17thj.

34-year-old Daniel R. Heman of Indiana, was riding his 2020 Harley Davidson FXS motorcycle when he hit a golf cart trying to avoid a pothole.

The maneuver caused Heman to strike a pedestrian who was walking across the roadway, and his motorcycle came to rest on top of the pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center with serious injuries, but she was pronounced brain dead Saturday, May 18th.

The golf cart’s occupants were not injured and are not expected to face any charges.

Heman is charged with DUI and vehicular homicide, according to THP’s crash report.
