Carolyn Young Petty of Pulaski died August 19th, 2023 at Meadowbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation in Pulaski. She was born in Giles County, and was 91 years old. She graduated from Beech Hill High school in 1950 and Martin Methodist College in 1952, taught school at Woodlawn School, worked at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, and at the Farmers Home Administration. She was a member of Pulaski First United Methodist Church, Chairman of Blood Services for Giles County American Red Cross, and a member of Pulaski 376 Order of the Eastern Star.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First United Methodist Church Circle of Care Program.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00pm at Bennett May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

Services will follow at 1:00pm Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

Burial will be in Giles Memory Gardens, Pulaski.

Survivors include her brother Bill Young and wife, Debbie, 2 sister-in-laws and many nieces, nephews, and church friends.
