Margaret LuRuth Thornton, age 85, died at her home Monday, May 15th, 2023. She was born in Athens.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.

Services will be at 1pm in the chapel.

Burial will be in Hester Cemetery.

Survivors include brothers, James William Thornton of Lester, Charles Everett Thornton and wife Mable of Minor Hill, Archie Dean Thornton and wife Merline of Athens, William Franklin Thornton and wife Janice of Ardmore, Jimmy Lee Thornton and wife Geneva of Minor Hill, Joe Wiley Thornton and wife Shirley of Minor Hill, sister, Margie Ann Watts of Pulaski.

Carr & Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Margaret LuRuth Thornton.
