John Michael Douthitt of Pulaski died home in Pulask Saturday. He was born in Kansas and was 73 years old. He served two years in the United States Army where he was an instructor in medics and an aide.

He worked 20 years as hospital administrator. He taught at Martin Methodist College and owned and operated Miss Butler’s Bed & Breakfast.


Visitation will be Friday from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at the Church of the Messiah Episcopal Church in Pulaski.


A memorial service will follow visitation at 3:00pm at the Church of the Messiah Episcopal Church with Father Jess Reeves presiding.

He is survived by his, Wife, Fran Douthitt of Pulaski, Brother, Duke and wife Sarah Douthitt of Oklahoma, Sister-in-law, Lynn Douthitt of Oklahoma, Daughters, Alyson Foreman and husband Hardy, Kristen Douthitt and Fiance Byron Godwin, Lauren Ewing and husband Bob, Sons, Jeff Douthitt and wife Katherine all of Louisiana, Mark Miles and wife Rayma of Pulaski. Mother of his children, Kathy Williams of Louisiana, and 10 Grandchildren.
