The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a car with no tag in the West Limestone community near Morris Road.

Deputies deployed K-9, Szakal, and the K-9 alerted to the odor of narcotics in the car. Deputies then searched the vehicle and located 232 Grams of Methamphetamine and a small pistol in the car.

During the stop, the female passenger attempted to bribe officers by getting the driver to offer money to let them go. Both occupants were then arrested and transported to the Limestone County Jail.

Jonathan Dale Abernathy, 42, of Pulaski, was charged with Bribery of Public Servants, Obstructing Justice Using False Identity, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine), and Possession of a Pistol by Violent Felon. Abernathy has since been released on a $10,000 bond. 

Lelia C. Marlin, 31, of Pulaski, was charged with Bribery of Public Servants, Obstructing Justice Using False Identity, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine). Marlin is still in Limestone County Jail on a $8500.00 bond.
