Lewisburg’s Public Works Director Buck Beard has been sworn in as interim city manager.

Beard officially took on the role at the start of 2020 following unanimous approval by the city council.

Randall Dunn, the city’s former city manager, gave notice of his departure during a recent work session.

Beard will likely return to his position in public works when a permanent replacement is selected.

Dunn had served as Lewisburg’s city manager since 2013, taking on the position following the departure of Tommy Engram who served less than a year in the post.
