Sands Restaurant on Bennett Drive is no longer in business after serving Giles County for 52 years.

Morton Rudd has been in the restaurant business for 52 years. He was knowledgeable in every aspect of the business, he started at the bottom and worked his way up.

In 1968, Rudd became the assistant manager of Sands Restaurant, then located in Frankewing, becoming its owner in 1980. The business was relocated to Bennett Drive in 2007.

Rudd and his wife, Barbara, said with a heavy heart and bitter sweet we have closed our restaurant. We will miss all of our Friends and Customers and thank each one for supporting us over these years.

The Rudd’s said 2019 has been a hard year with sickness and if anyone has a gift certificate please send a message on facebook so they can return your money,

The couple will start their retirement immediately
