An audit of revenues by Giles County recently uncovered questions about the division of sales tax revenues, and the Tennessee Department of Revenue is trying to determine how much Minor Hill may owe the county.

A vacancy on the board was made recently with the resignation of Scott Jarrell. The seat held by his successor will be on the ballot in the August 2020 city election.

Board members approved increasing a monthly fee to $1.50 per land line, from $1.16 and revenues will go to E-911 for recurring expenses.

The monthly profit and loss statement showed total income of $19,456 and expenses of $19,743 in October. Accounting for the most revenues were local beer taxes of $5,415 and state sales taxes of $4,153.
