The Giles County Commission will elect an attorney during the regular session next Monday to fill the term of Chris Williams that ended in September.

Attorney Chris Williams has remained Giles County's attorney since the controversy of an employee at his office, who is the spouse of County Commissioner Terry Harwell.

The commission will hear reports from the Finance Director for September 2019 and consider a resolution authorizing the approval of surety bonds for other county officials and county employees required to have bonds and a resolution to raise fees for the Giles County Ambulance Service.

Economic Development Director David Hamilton and Mae Frances Britton will address the commission.

The meeting is set to begin at 9 a.m. in the Giles County Courthouse.
