Columbia State Community College’s office of economic and workforce development has partnered with Crossflight sky solutions to offer the drone pilot training that is federal aviation regulation course at the Lawrence County campus beginning December 9th.

Classes will take place Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 to 5:30.

The 24 hour program is designed to help students become familiar with the basics of becoming a federal aviation administration certified remote pilot in command and enter the growing field of commercial drone operations.

Following completion of the course, students will be ready to take the far 107 certification exam and upon receiving certification, safely operate drones for personal or professional use.

The cost for the course is $670, and students must have a valid driver’s license to register.
